Focused analysis of sound and music
The typical sound used in horror films/trailers are eerie and high pitched. This creates a fear in the audience, it normally starts off slow and then builds up getting louder and faster then stops to a sudden silence this shows the audience something is about to happen. Most music in horror films are dark and mysterious fitting perfectly for the scarier effect. However some horror films use more upbeat music which creates a disturbing contrast between the music and events. For my film trailer I have decided to use the eerie tune, this is because it will fit well with the type of horror trailer we are going to build up.
